About HuismanHuisman is a privately owned company operating globally with extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of heavy construction equipment for world's leading on and offshore companies.
Our product range can be subdivided into four main categories: Heavy Lifting Equipment, Drilling Equipment, Pipelay Equipment and Mooring Systems and varies from stand-alone components to highly engineered integrated systems. Our operations are divided between our offices in The Netherlands, Brazil, China, Czech Republic and USA and our production facilities in The Netherlands, Czech Republic and China.
OrganisationHuisman - founded in 1929 and originally a steel construction company - joined forces with the engineering company Itrec in 1982 to create a company that could develop products entirely under own management, from concept to commissioning. With a dedicated workforce of 1,500 colleagues divided over our global offices and production facilities combined with a well-filled order portfolio, working closely together is of utmost importance.
Global OperationsA global market requires global and local solutions. Therefore, Huisman has expanded its engineering and production capacity to Sviadnov, Czech Republic in 1997 and, more recently to Fujian, China, generating close to 100,000m2 of total production surface. All facilities play an important role in the Huisman engineering and production force ever since. For local sales and engineering support, Huisman holds offices in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Houston (USA).
