Drilling Engineer

The Sales & Concepts Department at the location Schiedam is responsible for the world wide sales of the Huisman drilling, pipe lay and crane projects. The sales department coordinates the entire process from acquisition, concept design, tendering and final negotiations.

 

The Sales & Concepts Drilling team consists of a Sales Team Manager and a number of Concept Engineers. During the sales stage, it is the department's responsibility to propose concepts responding to the wishes and requirements of the customer.

 

As a Drilling Engineer you will support several departments (Sales & Concepts, Mech. Engineering and Commissioning etc.) with specific engineering with respect to drilling. Determine operational drilling procedures of Huisman equipment within the capabilities of the equipment and the requirements of the client.

Tasks

  • Analyse, design and describe drilling operations with Huisman equipment
  • Discuss these operations with the client together with the responsible project manager or Sales engineer
  • Draw-up/write down the procedures in storybooks, step-by-step pictures
  • Communicate these procedures (internally - involved departments, and externally - client)

 

You have a HBO or Academic Technical degree in Petroleum engineering or a similar specialism.
