The department Work Preparation & Subcontracting is responsible for the outsourcing of construction and machine work to the Huisman locations in the Czech Republic and China and to external subcontractors. It is not only mechanical work that is outsourced, but also electric and hydraulic work.
Your work consists of the following tasks:
- Being part of the project team
- Outsourcing of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic work within planning and budget
- Maintaining contact with Huisman offices in the Czech Republic and China
- Maintaining contact with external subcontractors within Europe
- Preparing the specifications for the outsourced work
- Negotiating regarding delivery times, prices and quality
- Doing timeand cost-saving proposals in consultation with Engineering
- Training and coaching of the less experienced subcontracting engineers
- Developing procedures and instructions concerning subcontracting
Requirements
You have a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience with outsourcing large steel and machine work. You can read technical drawings and you have a good command of the English language orally and in writing. You have coaching and managerial qualities. You have strong communication skills and are therefore able to manage the different aspects of the outsourced work.
