Our departments and work process
The relationships with our clients and contacts with potential clients are managed by our Sales Organisation. During the proposal phase, our Concepts departments develop a concept, based on the clients’ requirements. After a proposal becomes an order Project Management takes over and further engineering is done in basic and detailed designs by Mechanical Engineering. They work in close cooperation with Electrical, Hydraulics and Control Systems Engineering, after which workshop drawings are made by Work Preparations.
These workshop drawings find their way to our factories in the Czech Republic, Brazil, China or Schiedam, where they are assembled to the final product and Commissioning and Testing takes place. This work process is supported by the following departments: PR& Communications, Finance, HR & Recruitment, Huisman Academy, IT Applications, IT Infra, Legal, Logistics, Maintenance, Service and Warehouse. The end product is subsequently installed on board the vessel at the production factory and subjected to final testing. Once it receives the 'green light', it is handed over to the client.
Huisman Global Services (HGS), part of the Huisman Group, delivers services to all clients owning Huisman equipment to support safe and efficient operations worldwide. The HGS range of services draws together the technical expertise of the entire Huisman Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Control Systems and Training departments. A dedicated, globally operating Service Team of skilled professionals provides advice, training and service support before, during and after installation and delivery.
The Huisman Academy, located just outside the Huisman Schiedam premises, was established in 2011 to facilitate Huisman clients with the training of knowledge and skills to safely and efficiently use their Huisman equipment. In addition, the Huisman Academy supports the internal Huisman organization by organizing and facilitating non-technical trainings, educational programs, presentations and workshops.
