Successful installation MPT structure onboard Noble Globetrotter 1

On Saturday 6 August 2011, the MPT/substructure, with a total weight of over 2400mt, has been successfully installed onboard the “Noble Globetrotter 1” vessel by the Matador III and the Taklift 4.

The operation started at 7:00hrs and at 19:00hrs both sheerlegs were disconnected from the tower. So after being assembled on the Huisman Schiedam quayside for several months, the tower is now at its final location and is currently being welded to the vessel. In parallel, activities are ongoing for the installation onboard the Noble Globetrotter 1 of all other equipment produced at Huisman facilities in China, Czech Republic and The Netherlands.
