DM250

The DM250 is a diesel electric self-elevating drilling/workover unit. As the unit will be able to bring more wells back on production per year with a reduction in cost per barrel compared to similar rigs, it will deliver considerable added value.

This efficiency is achieved through self-propelled rig moves, the use of coiled tubing and jointed pipe, casing drilling and dedicated completion systems and it is able to deliver a significantly higher quality well.

The drilling equipment set comprises a skiddable cantilever fitted with a Multi Purpose Tower. An automatic pipe handling system is installed on the top of the cantilever which can handle tubular containers as well as loose pipe. Different components like a topdrive can easily be installed when needed.

The DM250 is suitable for the following operations:

  • Workovers and well interventions

  • Conventional side track drilling of grass roots drilling on a limited basis

  • Casing drilling

  • Coiled tubing operations

  • Underbalanced operations

  • Well fracturing and other stimulation jobs

Features

The DM250 has an unique patented cantilever design which can translate and rotate, enabling a much wider reached working area without the need for repositioning the vessel.
