New brand name, company name and visual identity
The past decades have been professionally exciting and challenging for Huisman. We have been able to expand our initial product scope to the design and construction of an extensive range of heavy lifting, drilling, pipelay, and mooring systems. In addition, we extended our work field from a primarily Dutch market, to a global market. Aside from our head office and production facility in Schiedam, The Netherlands, we currently have offices in Brazil, China, the Czech Republic, Singapore and the USA and we operate production facilities in the Czech Republic and China.
Now, we believe it is time to ensure that our external presentation fully represents our company.
New: Huisman and Huisman Equipment BV
Huisman - originally founded in 1929 as a steel construction company - joined forces with the engineering company, ITREC, in 1987 to develop products entirely under our own management, from concept to delivery. As this approach has become common practice in everything we do for many years now, we have decided to change the composed brand name Huisman-Itrec to Huisman and change our company name Huisman Special Lifting Equipment BV to Huisman Equipment BV.

New Visual Identity
As per 1 July, 2009, Huisman will launch a new visual identity including a new company logo. We strongly feel that the new look will better represent our company culture and assets, and will therefore enhance the global recognition of Huisman as one of the world leaders with regard to delivering high quality, tailor made equipment on time, within budget, and ready for commercial operations on day one.
