This resulted in the supply of various powerful amusement park rides such as:

• Earthquake motion simulator for leisure park Big Bang Schtroumpf in France;

• New York Wheel project for which Huisman supplied the hub and spindle, A-frames, drive towers and rigid spokes for the build-up to client Mammoet.

Sky Shuttle

In 2016, Meyer Werft shipyard asked us to realise a unique experience for their client; a 90 degree view from a gondola on cruise ship Odyssey of the Seas. The spectacular Sky Shuttle attraction is called The North Star and has an arm of approximately 41 meters long. When luffing up, the North Star can be lifted up to 80 degrees which means the gondola can be up to 90 meters above the waterline. The gondola can accommodate 15 passengers plus an operator.

Besides the delivery of this attraction in 2021, Huisman delivered another Sky Shuttle in 2019, both in cooperation with Vekoma Rides Manufacturing B.V.
