DrillingHuisman offers complete drilling packages and is dedicated to explore and realise new solutions to improve drilling operations. Our projects are typically complex and innovative, requiring solution-aimed thinking, technical excellence and partnerships with our clients. This has already resulted in a number of new value-adding solutions and orders for innovative and technically challenging drilling equipment sets.
Huisman has in-house capabilities for vessel design. This allows us to provide solutions in which vessel and equipment are fully integrated, leading to radically different designs for drilling units. The first drill ships based on these ideas are currently under construction.
The unique combination of our in-house design and engineering expertise, production facilities, testing capacity and installation location enables us to deliver custom-made, state of the art equipment on a turnkey basis: in time with fully operational equipment from day one. All Huisman products are designed and built in accordance with the international standards and certified by recognised authorities such as API.
Drill ShipsIn 2008 we received our first order by Shell/Noble for the Huisman designed Huisdrill 12000, followed by a second order in 2010. The integrated compact design of the Huisdrill 12000 is characterised by a Drilling Mast and below deck riser storage. There is no need for a substructure, allowing for a drill floor at 5m above main deck level.
Land and Containerised Rig LOC 400Building on the experience of our LOC250, we developed and constructed the LOC400, a Land and Offshore Containerised, 400t hook-load Rig. The LOC400 is an easy to transport drilling rig for on- and offshore use, offering our clients the option to combine conventional DP drilling with the advantages of emerging CWD processes.
Semi-SubmersiblesWhen the environmental conditions become harsh and high workability is required drilling semi submersible rigs are utilized. Our continues design work combined with the latest Huisman R&D achievements resulted in two, state of the art, designs. 
Well Intervention SystemsHuisman has already made its first steps on the well intervention market with the installation of a MPT on the Q4000 in 2001 and more recently with the Well Intervention System for Helix Energy Services’ Well Enhancer and the ‘Moonpool Deployment System’ for Otto Candies. 
Drilling ComponentsHuisman offers turnkey delivery of complete drilling systems and related equipment. 
New ConceptsOur position in the drilling industry has been firmly established with the recent first orders for drilling equipment sets onboard the Bully drillships from Noble/Shell and the Globetrotter drillships from Noble Drilling. The design of the latter is based on our in-house developed drill ship HuisDrill 12000 which is just one of the succesful examples of the Huisman concepts.
