/ Stinger Handling Systems

A stinger handling system consists of the following components:

• Stinger gantry frame
• Stinger tackle system
• Stinger slack rope protection system

The stinger gantry frame is the intermediate structure between the stinger and the stinger tackle and the vessel. Furthermore, the stinger gantry frame supports the stinger hoisting winches, the service cranes and two hoisting beams which are mounted to the frame. The stinger tackle system is used to adjust the stinger angle and to transfer the load to the gantry frame.
