/ Modular Cable-Lay System

Tailored for the seamless installation and repair of inter‑array cables, our Modular Cable‑Lay System is designed to fit a wide range of vessels. It enables quick conversion of an offshore construction vessel into a dedicated cable‑lay vessel within days, reducing logistical complexity and maximising productive offshore time. For cable repair operations, smaller vessels such as commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) can also be deployed, adding valuable flexibility to wind farm support operations.

The Modular Cable-Lay System offers maximum fleet versatility to cable owners and suppliers who prefer not to invest in dedicated vessels, and operators in geopolitically sensitive regions where rapid cable repair is essential.

Increased safety

CPS handling and logistics require minimal hoisting and lifting, significantly reducing personnel exposure to operational safety risks.

Mobilise faster, operate sooner

Mobilise faster, operate sooner

Mobilise your cable lay vessel within a matter of days, spending more time on getting the job done and less time on logistical complexities.

One system for your fleet

Install the Modular CLS across multiple vessel types with only minor deck changes. Use it as a compact repair spread or full cable lay system, maximising fleet versatility and asset utilisation.

/ features

  • Minimal lifts are required for (de)mobilisation, which can be carried out in any harbour or using the vessel’s own crane.
  • A bespoke quick‑connect interface ensures easy mobilisation and leaves the vessel deck flush after demobilisation.
  • The Modular CLS can be mobilised as a compact cable‑repair spread or as a full‑length inter‑array cable‑lay system.
  • With only minor deck modifications, the Modular CLS can be installed on a wide variety of vessels.
  • The system enables efficient conversion between an Offshore Construction Vessel and a Cable‑Lay Vessel, and back again as operational needs change.
  • Bespoke designs can be delivered to optimise the system for different vessel types.
